A Place is a site responsive permanent installation on the glass door of the Grand Central Art Center artist-in-residence studio. The piece was created in dialogue with existing architecture and signage from a business across the adjacent plaza. We see the list of alliterative words as a prompt which speaks to conditions inside and outside of the artist’s studio.
